Justin Evan Miether (above)

As you will know by now, I don’t respond to Internet Trolls or just people who want to pose as a problem. However I got on interesting message by one Facebook user by the name of Justin Evan Miether. The reason why I am punching this post in is to show you why it doesn’t really matter if you been in the Military, Police or even been shooting for “X” amount of years. One thing that I have learned since I’ve been in the public eye of this Gun Game is that people see what they want to see, hear what they want to hear, and believe what they want to believe - even when the contrasting facts are stacked against them.

I find it funny that people can say I'm "teaching wrong" when they have never been in a VODA Session. For all intensive purposes they don't even know what I do.

It is my position that there is a clear disconnect in the Gun Game concerning the merging of training, relativity and perspective, cognition, application and Justin Evan Miether. All of which when combined will demonstrate proof positive once again that my position stands on solid ground when it comes to why I do the things I do.

In yet another one of my noteworthy (that's right take notes bitch [in my Chris Rock voice]) videos entitled: “THE VODA STANDARD-STRIKER CONDITIONS OF READINESS”. I created it because I saw a need for it. I was compelled as a Firearm Education and Training Consultant to redefine the Conditions of Readiness for not just any pistol but, for Striker Fired Pistols, specifically Glock. See the video below.

Another thing that you guys should know about me at this particular point in time is: I don’t care what you think about me. But what I do care about is the fact that people like Justin Evan Miether are blissfully choosing to be intellectually lazy and not commit to the due diligence required by doing their homework before they attempt to engage me in any kind of discussion surrounding firearms and training protocols.

I don’t know how many times I have to say it but I’ll say it again. It doesn’t matter that you’ve been in the Military for 10 years and the only thing you know is "weapon handling and firearm safety". There is more to firearm education and training than that. The fact that people confuse range work with real world applications in 2018 is very astounding to me.

The argument is Colonel Cooper's Conditions of Readiness which was created for the 1911 pistol. There is no "BOLT" on a pistol. Let's not confuse rifle parts with pistols nomenclature.

But even more than that, an even further disconnect lies in the fact that Justin Evan Miether has been in the Military for 10 years and still does not have a firm grasp on the premise of Colonel Cooper's 1911 Conditions of Readiness. I put the emphasis on the 1911 because somehow Justin Evan Miether thinks it doesn’t apply to a semi-automatic weapon as seen below.

"Condition 2 does not apply to a semi-automatic weapon". Sir, you are wrong (again), in fact it does apply considering that the 1911 was the semi-automatic weapon the was the sole reason why the Conditions of Readiness were created in the first place. This is an oxymoron; to say that "Condition 2 does not apply to semi-automatic weapons" is to say that the 1911 is not a semi-automatic weapon. Thus the Conditions of Readiness would never exist in the first place. What the fuck are you talking about?

Colonel Cooper's Conditions of Readiness was created for the 1911 semi-automatic pistol. Even more than that his Conditions of Readiness were created because the 1911 has an External Hammer, Decocker, as well as an External Safety. Although the 1911 Conditions of Readiness is specifically built for the 1911 pistol it can be used within limits for rifles (depending on the type).

What's sad is that Justin Evan Miether is thoroughly convinced that he is correct when he is in fact WRONG on ALL accounts of Colonel Cooper’s 1911's Conditions of Readiness (see following section). This is why I don't respond to people on Social Media.

But enough of history. Let’s get to the meat or the heart of the matter. When you examine Colonel Cooper’s 1911's Conditions of Readiness you will draw the same conclusion that I did; which is that it is "old and antiquated" because we currently live in The Age of The Striker Fired Pistol. As you well know or should know, Striker Fired Pistols do not share the same operating components that 1911's do. In fact many Striker Fired Pistols do not have independent External Safety Switches, Decocker’s, or even External Hammers. So this begs the following question:

"How is Colonel Cooper's 1911 Conditions of Readiness relevant in The Age of The Striker Fired Pistol when the majority of Striker Fired Pistols do not have Decockers, External Safeties and 100% of them do not have External Hammers?"

The answer is quite simple:

But you know what don’t take my word for it, let me illustrate my point a little bit further. Here is Colonel Cooper’s 1911's Conditions of Readiness.

  • Condition Four: Chamber empty, no magazine, hammer down.

  • Condition Three: Chamber empty, full magazine, hammer down.

  • Condition Two: Round chambered, full magazine, hammer down.

  • Condition One: Round chambered, full magazine, hammer cocked, safety on.

  • Condition Zero: Round chambered, full magazine, hammer cocked, safety off.

Now here is the VODA Standard Conditions of Readiness for Striker Fired Pistols specifically GLOCK.

  • Condition 0: Nothing in magazine, nothing in chamber.

  • Condition 1: Nothing in magazine, one round in chamber.

  • Condition 2: Full magazine, one in chamber.

  • Condition 3: Full magazine, nothing in chamber.

  • Condition 4: TRIGGER FREEZE™ nothing in chamber, slide forward, trigger pressed, full magazine inserted.

If you can’t see the premise and the differences between the two above Conditions of Readiness for two distinct types of pistols I don’t know what to tell you. But wait let me say this: "You can’t put a square peg into a triangle hole". Maybe that analogy resonates with some people.

So what is this about really? I think the issue with people like Justin Evan Miether don’t like the fact that I’m able to create something that should’ve already been created all along (hell they had 30 years to do so). I also think that because people like his name are so conservative in mindset and blindly follow out of tradition that they get upset when someone such as myself steps up to the plate, demonstrates what I’m talking about and see's that what I have created actually works as seen in the video (yes those are LIVE ROUNDS).

Colonel Cooper created the 1911 Conditions of Readiness. I (Lucien R. Black™) created the Striker Condition of Readiness. This yet another reason why I am ONE of the GOAT (Greatest of All Time).

I'm an APPLE, Justin Evan Miether you an ORANGE.
