APPLICATION | BRASS, STEEL, OR ALUMINUM

If you don’t know by now I’m telling you I’m a huge fan of Steel Bullets and Steel Case Ammunition. The reason for that is not just because it’s cheap but because Steel Cased Ammunition and Steel Bullets have always worked for me. Now, I know what you thinking (at least some of you):

  • STEEL WEARS OUT YOUR BARREL FASTER

  • STEEL WEARS OUT YOUR EXTRACTOR

  • YOU CAN’T RELOAD THE STEEL CASING

  • YOU CAN’T RELOAD THE ALUMINUM CASING

  • STEEL CASE AMMUNITION IS DIRTY

Blah, blah, blah, blah!!!! If you don’t know by now most people just live to disagree with whatever anyone says. Therefore, when you see people like that, I would recommend you not paying attention to them. Instead, I would recommend that you think for yourself.

Take me for example, I have been running Steel Bullets and Steel Cased Ammunition through my Glock and various other firearms for over five years. I can attest that I have not had any issues as far as malfunctions with my hardware (Barrel or Extractor).

In fact, I have had more issues with Brass Cased Ammunition and other forms of conventional ammunition then I have had with Steel Bullets and Steel Cased Ammunition.

I’m not going to get into any technical specs or anything like that. I’m just simply here to tell you from first-hand experience/first-hand knowledge that there is absolutely nothing wrong with running Steel and Steel Cased Ammunition and Steel Bullets as they are plentiful and reliable (as well as cost effective).

Now if you are a 1911 Owner, your firearm may not accept Steel Ammunition. But then again that’s one reason as to why I never recommend 1911 for any Gun-Fighting or SD (Self-Defense) application. To be perfectly honest with you, it doesn’t matter what you hit the bad guy with; be it Steel or Lead Bullets. Make sure you do your duty.

WEARING OUT THE BARREL FASTER
Yeah, if you Shooting 10,000 rounds every two months! But the truth of the matter is most people are barely shooting 400 rounds a month. Therefore, I’m not worry about the barrel being worn out. You’ll be all right.

STILL WEARS OUT YOUR EXTRACTOR
I’ve had the same Extractor for over five years. I have not had to replace it yet. In fact, I wouldn’t really worry about replacing the Extractor especially for Glock what’s it like, $10 to replace? Again you’ll be all right.

YOU CAN’T RELOAD STEEL AMMUNITION
I’m not into reloading and neither was most people. You’ll be all right.

YOU CAN’T RELOAD ALUMINUM CASING
Again I’m not into reloading and neither is most people. You’ll be all right.

ALUMINUM CASED AMMUNITION WILL CRACK WHEN IT’S LOADED

So, I don’t give a fuck.

STEEL AMMUNITION IS DIRTY
So are most of these schmucks in the Gun Game and Politicians but they always get front page in a magazine or elected back in the office. Your gun is going to get dirty - period. If you can’t handle that then don’t shoot the motherfucker keep it in the safe at home or walk around and look tough with it (which is what most people do anyways – they really have no plans on pressing the Trigger). Other than that your gun is going to get dirty and you'll never be able to get it 100% clean. Again, get used to it you’ll be all right.

For the average person, whether you choose to shoot Steel Bullets or Bullets with Steel Casings you’ll be fine shooting either Brass, Steel, Aluminum, or Bi-Metal. Instead of focusing on metallurgy, I would recommend focusing on obtaining the right cognition and the training relevant to your every day needs.
